The first day of DreamHack Open Denver has come to an end, with Cloud9 and BIG finishing at the top of their respective groups.
Cloud9 sent out a strong message to their rivals in Denver as they breezed past Tempo Storm and Renegades, dropping just five rounds in the process, with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, who finished the day on a whopping 2.24 Rating, admitting that the other teams in the tournament "should be afraid" of his side.
Meanwhile, BIG played some of their best Counter-Strike in months and sealed passage to the semi-finals following a comprehensive victory over NRG and a convincing triumph over MOUZ, with Johannes "nex" Maget raising eyebrows in both matches.
DreamHack Denver will resume on Saturday with the elimination matches, pitting CLG against Tempo Storm, and NRG against LDLC. Below you can find the complete schedule for the second day of the $100,000 tournament:
